Jess 'J' Mellen is an illustrator that grew up in New Hampshire and currently lives in Maine.

They graduated from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a degree in Communications Design and Illustration, where they gained an affinity for sequential art, also gaining skills in graphic design, motion design, and more.

Their personal style and focus delves into sequential art, concept and character design, and narrative work. They have worked in all three levels of comic art (pencils, inks, colors), and enjoys drawing mechanical and robotic objects/characters.

They also have experience practicing and teaching archery to all age groups, and uses some of these experiences in their work. They like to affectionately call the craft 'art-chery'.
